Dr. Mike Truong, DMD

Known as Dr. Mike by his patients, Dr. Mike Truong received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Sydney, where he was also the recipient of the Australian Society of Periodontology Prize. His philosophy is based on a preventive and conservative approach, emphasizing self-care.

Dr. Mike likes to take time at the first visit to thoroughly discuss each patient’s unique oral condition and needs, then plans with them the next steps to meet these needs. He doesn’t like to rush, and plans enough time in future appointments to ensure each job is done well. That’s why he’s rarely behind schedule! He openly invites any questions or concerns and is known for his thorough explanations, his caring and both humorous and professional chair-side manner. Dr. Mike enjoys building lasting relationships with his patients and is committed to providing the quality of care they deserve.

Dr. Mike is a current member of the Canadian Dental Association and Alberta Dental Association and College. He keeps up to date with current research and continuing education as he believes in lifelong learning. Outside of dreaming of dentistry in his spare time; he enjoys experimenting with new recipes and reading a novel with a glass of wine; spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter hiking, playing sports and discovering the city.

Dr. Kathlene Rodriguez, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Kathlene Rodriguez’s gentle and nurturing personality will instantly put you at ease for your dental appointment. She holds herself and her dental treatments to the highest standards which is in alignment with Sky Dental’s philosophy of putting our patients first and providing quality dental work.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Rodriguez is enjoying motherhood after welcoming her first child and while her hobbies may now change to include more frequent nap breaks, she also enjoys travelling, trying new food, and watching re-runs of her favorite shows.

In the community, you will often find her enjoying new cuisine options at food fairs, exploring the aisles at Homesense or Winners, and supporting local stores in her neighbourhood.
